W98 / Waspo Hanover - Bayer Uerdingen 7:9 (3:4, 1:1, 1:1, 2:3)
|
After quite a long time, I returned to a water polo match. This time, Hanover hosted Uerdingen in the German play-off quarterfinals. First quarter, which is played nine minutes effective timing in Germany, was full of goals. Hanover acted to unconcentrated, so that Uerdingen scored the 3:4-lead as a buzzer beater. In the next two periods, both defenses and goalies acted just marvelous, only one goal per team and period in those two. Uerdingen raised the lead to two for the first time in 34th minute. Though Hanover could keep up and scored the 7-8 with 62 seconds on the clock, they were not able to come back again. Therefor, Uerdingen scored their ninth one and won the first match in the best of three series. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
