In the second match of the day, Frankfurt had to win in order to have a chance to advance to the German finals. In the first half, both defensive lines did a great job, so that there was just a single goal in the 8th minute scored by Frankfurt in Power-Play. After five minutes in the second half, Frankfurt lead 3:2. They played more clever and with better technique which gave them a three-goal-lead win at the end.
