The very young Weißenfels team started with pressure on the Bremen goal, but did not manage to take one of their chances. Therefor, Bremen became better and scored the first goal after 15 minutes. In second half, the most experienced guest player, Andrea Gerdes, got mad, threw her stick on an opponent player, using abusive language and gestures on the referees and opponents and received a match penalty 3 for that. As Bremen just scored one goal in powerplay, the score after 40 minutes was 2:0, which was held until the 52nd minute, when Weißenfels started to tie a 3:1 lead. As there was no goal in the ten minute overtime, the score stayed tied.
