After Amanda Wendelstig brought her team the lead by a fast break early in first third, Umea were able to tie the score in the second period by a Therese Andersson goal. Balrog took back the lead in the second period and even raised it in the 46th minute by an Emelie Lindström shot. After that goal, the "host team" from Greater Stockholm acted unconcentrated and caught two goals within two minutes. In a great third period, Umea's Sofia Ahlehjelm gave her team the lead with four minutes left on the clock, which was converted to a save victory by a Namita Andersson empty-netter.
